Email marketing is, in my opinion, the most powerful form of Internet marketing in the world.  People don’t understand it though.  They don’t know how to build their list.

It’s no coincidence that some of the top Internet marketers in the world have hundreds of thousands and millions of people on their list.

Or that Amazon.com has grown to be the retailing giant that they’ve become though email marketing (aka. their recommendation engine).

It’s simple, email marketing is free and it’s the way to go for anyone looking to make money online.

Why do all the smartest marketers create squeeze pages on their site? Well, let’s think about it together:

  1. Squeeze pages are the most effective way to build a list of targeted customers.
  2. It’s a great way to provide free or special offers to those who matter most.
  3. Squeeze pages are proven to convert as well or better than any other form of info collection.

  5. You’ll make more money!

This is great news because everyone knows building an email list is the #1 thing to do for ANY website. The larger your email list, the more money you can make from your list. Squeeze Plugin will allow you to build powerful squeeze pages on any website running WordPress.

SEOlinkvine Review

SEOlinkvine Review

SEOlinkvine.  First of all, what is it?  SEOlinkvine is a automated backlink builder created by Brad Callen.

Lately, I’ve been pretty preoccupied with how to find backlinks for SEO scores.  There are lots of social bookmarking tools and stuff available, but one solution I’m really starting to like is SEOlinkvine.

The basic premise is simple.  There are two kinds of SEO:

  • Onpage SEO – things like keywords, title tags, images, etc
  • Offpage SEO – everything that happens off your site.  That includes inbound link text, quality of backlinks, number of backlinks, etc

Basically, Google looks at inbound links as a vote.  Every time a website links to your site, you get bonus points.  The linking text, or anchor text, acts as a point maximizer.

For example, if someone links there with the anchor text ‘MarketingHackz,’ I get 1 point.  BUT, if someone links here with anchor text link, ‘Facebook Marketing,’ I get a maximizer – perhaps 4 or 5 points.

Now, I’ve really been hitting ‘Facebook Marketing’ hard.  Since I’ve started building internal and external backlinks, this site has risen from the 19th page of Google to the 2nd page (as of this writing).  You can imagine how competitive that search term is!

One key component to that rise has been SEOlinkvine.

SEOlinkvine Review – What Is It?

SEOlinkvine is a private article/blog network that serves on purpose – finding backlinks.  Members get to post articles in SEOlinkvine which get syndicated out to the network’s sites.

In those articles, you embed your links!  So every site that posts the article has the link automatically included.

There are several benefits to this sort of thing:

  • You can determine the anchor text of your link
  • You will be getting links from hundreds or thousands of websites on different servers all over the world (meaning different IP addresses)
  • You’re content will be unique once it goes through the SEOlinkvine process.
  • It’s super easy and quick to use.  Think of it as re-purposing your existing content…

All you need to do is submit and article, with a maximum of 3 links with anchor text per article.  SEOlinkvine then syndicates those articles to all of the relevant sites on its network.

Unique content is handled through a built in article spinner.  It’s one of the best I’ve seen.  I know you might have a problem with article spinners, but their not all bad.  Some take more time than others, but none of them equal the time it would take to write 300 different articles!

The idea of this kind of linkbuilding is to get the maximum number of links possible.  These articles aren’t going to be ’selling’ anything for you.  But, in combination with the hundreds of other backlinks, will rank your site on the first page of Google.

SEOlinkvine Review – The Positives

SEOlinkvine is an awesome tool for building backlinks to a site quickly.  It’s a one stop shop and I like that.  It takes very little time to use and the return is massive.  I’ve gotten thousands of linkbacks to my sites and they’ve really boosted my organic traffic on my niche sites.

SEOlinkvine Review – The Negatives

Admittedly, I’m not a big proponent of article spinning.  In the context of SEOlinkvine, I think it’s beneficial though.  For this process it’s all about getting backlinks.

In high traffic article marketing though, when submitting to sites like ezine articles or whatever, I have all my article custom written by Articlez.  They’re super cheap and have a ‘preferred member’ type system of even more discounted rates.

SEOlinkvine Review – The Verdict

SEOlinkvine is awesome as a supplementary backlink builder.  It doesn’t take much time or effort on your part and you can use content that’s already created.  Plug it into the system and go.

The articles SEOlinkvine generates are good, but probably won’t sell your savvy Internet user anything.  You need to keep the purpose in context though.  These backlinks do one thing – increase your rankings in Google so you get lots of free traffic!

I use SEOlinvine regularly.  Some of my top Internet marketing friends do.  Definitely try it out if you’re interested!

Managed Search Engine Marketing

Managed Search Engine Marketing

Managed Search Engine Marketing. I’ve been asked a number of times in the last couple months what it is and whether it’s something you should be looking into or not…

If you have a website, then you probably have heard all about the importance of marketing yourself through the Internet. With Internet marketing, there are so many options to choose from. You are faced with terms like search engine marketing, search engine optimization, pay per click advertising, and many more techniques.

What if you could combine all of these into one grand plan?

Well, this is now possible through the use of Managed Search Engine Marketing. Overall, this is a system that easily combines all of the greatest online marketing techniques into one simple, user friendly package.

Really, Managed Search Engine Marketing is a type of marketing that any website will find useful. This is because of the main idea behind this kind of Internet marketing: to give your site the ability to make money.

The main foundation behind this kind of marketing is search engine based, so your website will automatically be focused on a high return on your investment.

Your Managed Search Engine Marketing usually includes several important components. It utilizes a variety of services, including:

  • search engine marketing (SEM)
  • search engine optimization (SEO)
  • pay per click advertising (PPC)
  • social media techniques
  • and other non-search engine based techniques.

This system works by using the search engine techniques as a base for maintaining your website’s long term power and popularity through online searches. Then, pay per click provides the instantly targeted traffic so that your return on investment can stay positive.

Now, if all of this seems a bit confusing, don’t worry. That is why there are experts who know how to create and operate these Managed Search Engine Marketing Plans. Instead of using all of your precious time trying to figure out the basics of Internet marketing, you should just let the experts do their job.

The real way of becoming great at this kind of marketing is by doing it, and these people certainly have a lot of experience. Therefore, you should certainly take advantage of the opportunity that a managed search engine marketing plan provides to you, but you should also be confident in your decision to outsource the creation of this complex and completely beneficial plan.

There are a few Managed Search Engine Marketing firms that I have recommended to some of my friends in the past.  Most of which have worked out splendidly.  If you want more information about their services, prices, etc – just contact me and I’ll see what I can do to hook up you with an account rep…  That way you get the best deal.

Direct Mail Statistics

Direct Mail Statistics

At some point most small or new businesses decide to try a direct mail marketing program. Direct mail is one of many ways for a business to market their product or services. One of the first things you need to consider are the Direct Mail Statistics and before you embark on a direct mail campaign you need to estimate what your typical response rate should be.

It can be very hard to estimate what the response rate might be on some campaigns, so it is helpful to keep in mind what the industry average is. The industry average response rate is around 2.6%. Keep in mind though that is just an average. If you count on getting a response rate of 2.6% you might be really disappointed when your response rate is possibly as low as .2%. Also take in to account your product or service. If you have a high-end product or service then a .2% response rate might be average for your industry and still a very good response rate.Keep in mind that these Direct Mail Statistics are the industry average.

A good way to figure out what kind of response rate your looking for is to figure out what your break even point is going to be. This is the percentage of sales achieved from the direct mail campaign that will be needed in order to cover the costs of the direct mail campaign. If your break even point is too high you might want to reconsider doing the campaign or maybe changing things to make it cheaper.  Direct Mail Statistics won’t help you figure out your own break even point, but they can help you decide if your campaign might be close to the goal of breaking even.

Direct Mail Statistics can help you to decide whether a campaign will possibly work, but sometimes it is best to just try out a small campaign to see If the smaller campaign works well then try increasing the size of it. If it doesn’t, then try making some changes before deciding it isn’t working. No matter what, always keep your expectations on the outcome at a reasonable level. It is better to underestimate and do better then you think you will, then to overestimate and do worse.

One of the resources I use all the time to test out direct mail campaigns is 1800postcards.com1800postcards is super cheap, has all sorts of printing services and will even do your design if you don’t have anyone on staff.  I used to use a local printer but switched because the prices at 1800postcards were just too good…

Search Engine Optimization Pricing

Search Engine Optimization Pricing

If you own a business and have a website, at some point you have heard about search engine optimization. This more than likely led to research over the term and now your wondering about Search Engine Optimization Pricing.

There are several different ways for SEO companies to price their services that they provide to others. Paying attention to pricing might just help you as you research companies and decide what company you wish to hire for your search engine optimization needs.

There are 7 popular pricing methods for Search Engine Optimization Pricing. Those 7 are:

  • Hourly
  • Project based
  • Contract services
  • Standard profit sharing
  • Modified profit sharing
  • Monthly retainer
  • Pay for ranking
  • Pay for traffic.

Each of these pricing methods have their good points but there are a lot of factors that will affect the price you pay. Things such as:

  1. How big and how complex your website is
  2. Personality conflicts (being harder to work with can up the price you pay)
  3. The size of your company/brand
  4. The competitiveness of your keywords
  5. The reputation and demand for the SEO company your looking to hire

Due to all the different variables, Search Engine Optimization Pricing can be all over the place with a wide range of pricing depending on the services provided. Some people look at the high end and think that there must be a lot of greedy companies out there gouging for their services. On the other hand, there are a lot of companies out there offering SEO services that look at the low end and think that there are a lot of people just giving away their time and effort in promoting a clients site. Another option is to use plugins or scripts like the SEOpressor WordPress Plugin.

In the end Search Engine Optimization Pricing comes down to finding the balance between the SEO services that your business needs and the price you can afford and are willing to pay. Once you know what your company needs as far as SEO services, then you can find the best company that can meet those needs at the best price to fit in your company budget. And always remember when researching, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

There are a lot of resources out there where you can learn how to do SEO which I whole-heartedly encourage…  If you don’t know how to do SEO yourself, how can you expect others to do it for you?  After all, some of these SEO companies charge $10K or $15K a month!  Who could afford that?

If you want to learn about SEO, the absolute best resource I’ve come across is SEO Book by Aaron Wall.. The best part is he gives you a free account where you learn lots of stuff including:
