One of the hardest things about getting into local marketing is getting that first client.  I know, I had a hell of a time doing it when I first get into the offline stuff years and years ago.

It’s rough walking up to a client and pitching them or cold calling them.  I’ve been saying that for years and it was a basis of my own product.

Well, Kevin Wilke just launched a client getting product that I really, really like.  It’s called One Client A Week which is really awesome.

Here’s my One Client A Week Review!

One Client A Week Review – What Is It?

One Client A Week is what it sounds like – getting one client a week!

That might not sound like enough, but think about this.  If you get one client a week who is very well qualified and very well targeted, you don’t need very many to sustain an incredible lifestyle!

I mean, when I do consulting, I start at $2500 a month.  Anything less and I don’t like to play ball.  So, 3 or 4 clients gets me some pretty awesome money!

No to mention, having 2 or 3 or 4 clients means having only a few bosses – only a few people you have to answer to.  Rather than 20 or 30 bosses.  That’s a lot of headache!

So, One Client A Week shows you how to get awesome results from a few clients – how to attract them, where to go to find them, how to close them…

One Client A Week Review – What I Like

One thing that I really like about One Client A Week is the places that Kevin shares with you to go find your first couple clients.

The places that he goes over are awesome, and I used them when I first started out.

Now, after you pick up a few clients and have some good results, you will start getting a lot of referrals because your work is good.  When that starts happening, you can charge exponentially more.

That’s the process at least, and it’s all covered in One Client A Week!

One Client A Week Review – What I Don’t Like

One thing that I don’t like much about One Client A Week is that it doesn’t go over much direct mail stuff as of right now.

I REALLY like direct mail because it’s a great way of getting high level clients.  Don’t get me wrong, clients looking for services and stuff online are still good, I just know that it’s easier to close people if they’re not comparing you with a ton of other vendors/partners!

I know that Kevin is adding in direct mail.  It wasn’t there the last time that I saw it but it should be now…

One Client A Week Review – Overall Thoughts

I really like One Client A Week, because it answers all the difficult questions about offline marketing…  Getting clients.  Where to get clients.  What to say to clients.  I know that that stuff trips a lot of folks up!
