Copywriting is, quite simply, the single biggest way to increase your revenue online. Whether it’s for your own products and services, or affiliate products and presell copy, your writing is key.
There are truthfully very few copywriting courses I’d recommend because most of them suck. Especially the ones you find on Clickbank. It’s unfortunate, but I’ve tried finding good ones there and there aren’t any to be found.
There is one that I really like though – Simple Writing System.
Before I get into the review, I want to talk a bit about the art of storytelling and why it’s so crucial to your copywriting success.
Everyone loves a story. They love it when you transport them to another place… Another time… And wow them with the world that you create in their mind.
If you can craft a unique story, selling them something is easy.
That’s what Simple Writing System teaches you – how to be a story teller and sell stuff in the process!

Simple Writing System Review – What Is It?
Simple Writing System is John Carlton’s copywriting course. If you’ve never heard of John Carlton, he’s a legend in copywriting circles. In fact, the high price sales page copywriters (the ones charging $5K for a copywriting job) all look to John as their teacher.
That says a lot!
What Simple Writing System is all about is giving you the tools and the step by step instruction on writing killer sales copy for salesletters, email sequences, autoresponders, pre-sell copy… All of that.
I’ve got through Simple Writing System twice and each time I learn something new and it improves my copywriting habits tremendously.
Simple Writing System Review – What I Like
The thing I like most about John Carlton’s Simple Writing System is the step by step, plain language structure of the course. That might sound weird, but he structures it so anyone can learn.
Not to mention, he’s a copywriter so the language used is spot on :0)
It’s easy to go from copywriting newbie to ninja relatively quickly, even for the tech-minded folks like me :0) Before I started with Simple Writing System, I have to admit – I sucked. Even now I don’t pride myself as being all that good, but I’m better!
Simple Writing System Review – What I Didn’t Like
Now, I’m not a writer by nature. I don’t craft stories and interweave hooks and loops in my copy very well. So I have to admit, I didn’t LIKE all the writing that we had to do…
But, it’s the reason I got better!
In order to write better, you have to write more. And if you’re taking a writing course like Simple Writing System, it only goes to show that you’ll be writing more!
It’s a good thing, but that doesn’t mean I liked it any better!
Simple Writing System Review – Overall Thoughts
If you’ve made the decision to write better sales copy or increase your copywriting skills, Simple Writing System is the only course you should take. Don’t do any of those low price PDFs or anything – they don’t work. Save your money and invest in the course that all the gurus look to for copywriting techniques!
