Managed Search Engine Marketing

Managed Search Engine Marketing

Managed Search Engine Marketing. I’ve been asked a number of times in the last couple months what it is and whether it’s something you should be looking into or not…

If you have a website, then you probably have heard all about the importance of marketing yourself through the Internet. With Internet marketing, there are so many options to choose from. You are faced with terms like search engine marketing, search engine optimization, pay per click advertising, and many more techniques.

What if you could combine all of these into one grand plan?

Well, this is now possible through the use of Managed Search Engine Marketing. Overall, this is a system that easily combines all of the greatest online marketing techniques into one simple, user friendly package.

Really, Managed Search Engine Marketing is a type of marketing that any website will find useful. This is because of the main idea behind this kind of Internet marketing: to give your site the ability to make money.

The main foundation behind this kind of marketing is search engine based, so your website will automatically be focused on a high return on your investment.

Your Managed Search Engine Marketing usually includes several important components. It utilizes a variety of services, including:

  • search engine marketing (SEM)
  • search engine optimization (SEO)
  • pay per click advertising (PPC)
  • social media techniques
  • and other non-search engine based techniques.

This system works by using the search engine techniques as a base for maintaining your website’s long term power and popularity through online searches. Then, pay per click provides the instantly targeted traffic so that your return on investment can stay positive.

Now, if all of this seems a bit confusing, don’t worry. That is why there are experts who know how to create and operate these Managed Search Engine Marketing Plans. Instead of using all of your precious time trying to figure out the basics of Internet marketing, you should just let the experts do their job.

The real way of becoming great at this kind of marketing is by doing it, and these people certainly have a lot of experience. Therefore, you should certainly take advantage of the opportunity that a managed search engine marketing plan provides to you, but you should also be confident in your decision to outsource the creation of this complex and completely beneficial plan.

In fact, I think I am going to turn that into a little series – how to start with a niche and build a microbusiness!  Anyway, more on that to come…

Facebook is an amazing place for Internet marketers to advertise their wares for many reasons – but the most important is demographics.  You can totally pinpoint your target market because, by default, Facebook gathers all kinds of data that you can’t get in any other pay per click outlet!

This includes things like age, schooling, hobbies and keywords.  When you set up an Adwords campaign, you are just stuck with keyword targeting and picking out sites you want to advertise on!

This podcast shows you how to set up Facebook Sponsored Ads from beginning to end.  If nothing else, try them out and see what you think!

The vast majority of businesses in the world today are seeing a sharp downturn in their profits.  Consumers are buying less, which means workers are often making less (or losing their jobs), which means they are buying less – you get the picture.

The one segment that seems to be thriving is Internet Marketing.  Why?  According to some, it’s BECAUSE of the failing economy that businesses are looking towards the Internet as an alternative to higher priced television and other forms of advertising.

Last week was a big week for one market segment that has been hit hard by tough financial times: automotive.  With two major conferences, the Digital Dealer AAISP conference in Dallas and the JD Powers Conference in Las Vegas, most of the attention was placed on how to leverage the Internet as a smarter way to advertise.

Joe Turner, Executive Director of Marketing for TK Carsites, an internet marketing and website design firm, said, “Car dealers are looking for a lifeline.  Times are beyond tough and they need a way cut costs without making sales worse than they already are.  They are looking to the Internet to replace much of their traditional advertising.” Read the rest of this entry

Pay Per Click isn’t any different. In order to run a good campaign (and not risk losing your shirt in the process) you have to manage it. Sure, anyone can set up a Google Adwords campaign, but do you have what it takes to manage it effectively?

Writing Killer Press ReleasesPress releases have long been a standby for launching new websites and initiatives. Press release news wires are the source of many of the news items you see on a daily basis throughout the blogosphere and in the media.

When you write a press release, you basically need one thing: a story.

A press release is an introduction to a media outlet telling them that you have an angle. It lets them know that you have something worthy of discussion. Keep in mind – the media survives on finding the next new thing. Depending on how you frame your story, that could be you!

A press release isn’t your company in the spotlight. It isn’t 700 words about your company. To be successful, you have to tie it to something. Read the rest of this entry
