MarketingHackz - Build Brands. Make Money.Businesses, both big and small, live and die by marketing. It doesn’t matter if you run a freelancing site, a blog, a shiny new storefront, or a place that makes plastic cups – marketing is key. People who might be interested in what you make need to be able to find you. If they can’t, your business will quickly run its course and you will be looking into the sky wondering what happened?

Marketing nowadays comes in all different shapes and sizes. There are some that happen on the Internet and others that happen in the ‘real’ world. Dare I say real-world marketing can still be effective, but guess what? That’s where the majority of business transactions take place.

So, lets take a little walk down the trail to your success. This also gives you an idea of where we are going to be going here on MarketingHackz.com.

Internet Marketing

When I hear the phrase, “Internet Marketing,” my head immediately begins to whirl. There are so many different kinds… There’s:

Traditional Marketing

This stuff is the what you learn about in all the Marketing 101 classes. And it is still used by 90% of companies out there. Is it effective? Absolutely. Will it be in 10 years? The jury is still out. But here are some of the forms of traditional marketing we will be going over:

  • Direct mail
  • In person sales techniques
  • Television and Radio advertising
  • Posters
  • Trade Shows

Other Forms of Marketing

And then there are gray area marketing techniques.. These are the less tangible (and often harder to pull off) marketing methods that pay huge dividends but are hard to quantify. For instance:

In essence, these are more broad reaching categories that we are going to attempt to explore through test cases and research.

MarketingHackz Content

One thing we like to do a lot is talk. So you aren’t going to just have to read our stuff. We are going to be doing regular podcasts, screencasts, and case studies. Hell, I’ll build a product and let everyone watch whether it does well or not, then examine it to see what we can do better!

Everyone will succeed

A long time ago, I heard a quote by the founder of pixelcorps.com. He said, “In order for me to succeed, I need to help everyone else around me be successful.” I truly believe that, and want to make as many of you money as I can! And the quickest path to money is good marketing.

To your success,
